Ryan Dillahay brings years of experience as a gigging musician to Fret Dojo, including his studies with Barry Greene at the University of North Florida where he graduated in 2023. Working as a professional performer and educator, he is passionate about sharing his love of jazz music with audiences and students alike. Ryan grew up enamored with the guitar work of legends like Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan and developed a deep passion for jazz music in his late teens with the music of Pat Metheny, George Benson, and Pat Martino. These days he loves to go out and gig with his trio or larger ensembles around Jacksonville, as well as spend time in the great outdoors. Emphasizing the accessibility of jazz as a musical language, you are sure to find enthusiasm, encouragement, and helpful tips in Ryan’s teaching.
